In 2004-2005, I lived in Toronto! I use to walk, take the subway, and bus to work everyday. That’s when I first noticed that my ankle turned inwards when I walked. I use to walk really heavy too (drop foot). I went to so many doctors and had so many tests done.  Everything came back negative! In 2011, they just randomly diagnosed me with “Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia” only because of my symptoms.

I never wanted a child, until I was 30. I started to get baby fever. Maybe it was because No one would hire me, & I was home alone, doing nothing everyday.

Today I’m currently doing all the same tests again, because they said now they have discovered 60 new genes over 10 years and they want to know more. I never wanted a child, until I was 30. I started to get baby fever. Maybe it was because No one would hire me, & I was home alone, doing nothing everyday. I decided to have 1 child. I’m not sure why, but I know deep down inside he doesn’t have it! I have a loving husband who is a great father to him, I also have family close by. They say it takes a village to raise a child, & I feel the support from everyone!

When I go to the park, or play groups the other parents help chase him for me. I know I’m stubborn, & refuse help, but now my joints are starting to get into a lot of pain & I need it!I got the results back by having a video chat with my geneticist. The results are the same as before. They are still inconclusive. It doesn’t matter though, it wouldn’t have changed anything.

I tore my meniscus in January only from taking a step.  In finally saw a surgeon in June. I decided to get surgery on it, but now I have to wait a few months for it. Since everything is all backed up now from the lockdown. I just got my first walker in June. I was told no one was working, so I couldn’t get 1. Someone told me about to try this 1 company. They came over and gave me an assessment. I’m happy about that!!
